Classic Cinemas is the longest continuously operating cinema in Victoria, built in 1911.Since 1971 the site has been operating as ‘Classic Cinemas’. Classic Cinemas now houses ten auditoriums plus a rooftop cinema that runs during the summer months, and Classic Southside, a dedicated music and comedy space that operates year-round. Classic is now not only a community hub, but the home of the Jewish International Film Festival, the Children's International Film Festival, Europa! Europa Film Festival, and a cultural precinct for all film-loving Melbournians
